Last updated: April 17, 2026. Njord Options is committed to protecting your privacy. This Policy explains what is collected, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Njord Options is an options trading portfolio tracker. It collects the minimum personal data needed to operate the service and never sells your data.
Your data is never sold. It is used only to provide and improve the service.
You control your data. Export your records and request deletion at any time.
Security by default. TLS in transit, bcrypt for passwords, least‑privilege access.
This Policy applies to the Njord Options website and application.
Information Collected
Njord Options collects account information (email and password hashed with bcrypt); portfolio data you enter or import (positions, trades, lots, and cashflows); usage and log data (such as IP address, device and browser details, pages viewed, and errors); and cookies used for authentication and session integrity.
How information is used. Data is used to: provide and improve the service; authenticate and secure accounts; calculate cost basis and P/L; respond to support; comply with law. If you are in the EEA/UK, the legal bases include performance of a contract, legitimate interests (product improvement and security), consent (where applicable), and legal obligation.
Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You can withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. California residents may also request to know, delete, and opt‑out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal information).
Sharing & third parties. Data is shared only with service providers who help operate Njord Options (hosting, storage/cache/queue, email, error monitoring). Market quotes may be fetched from Yahoo Finance; this does not involve your personal data. Information may be disclosed to comply with law, protect rights, or as part of a business transaction.
Retention. Personal data is kept only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion at any time; associated lots, trades, and cashflows will also be deleted unless retention is legally required.
Children. Njord Options is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
International transfers. Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries. Appropriate safeguards are in place.
Changes. This Policy may be updated from time to time and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Material changes will be communicated through the app or email when appropriate.
